Heavy Tow Recovery Team Gets Dump Truck Out of Fountain Parking Spot
Our heavy tow recovery team made a quick trip to Winter Garden, FL, after a dump truck driver found himself in an unusual parking spot. The dump truck driver had lost control of the truck while taking a curve. Unable to stop, he drove over a manicured lawn and straight into a massive water fountain!
The out of control dump truck only came to a stop after it smashed into the fountain’s decorative rocks! With the front end of the truck completely wrecked, the driver could not get the truck back out of the fountain.
When the heavy recovery team arrived on scene, they noticed that diesel, coolant fluid, and oil were leaking from the damaged cab. They called in Incident Management Solutions (IMS) who did a great job at containing the leak.
Using their rotator, the heavy tow recovery team got the dump truck out of the fountain in two phases. Phase one required them to pull the truck from the backend. Once the truck was at a better angle, they hooked up to the front end and pulled it all the way out of the fountain.
It was 1:00 in the afternoon on an incredibly hot Florida day and the team actually enjoyed wading through the fountain while they set up their winching lines! It’s not the most conventional way to cool down but we’re glad you got some relief from the heat!
Once they got the truck out of the fountain, the team from Johnson’s Wrecker Service towed the dump truck back to their secure yard for storage.
Great work out there!
